Are you fed up of having DVD’s, Cd’s, Console games and even Video Cassettes all over the place in your home? We all tend to own lots of these items although video cassettes are tending to be phased out by most people. I got rid of all my video cassettes as not only do they take up too much space, I found that I could not be bothered to get a video player and attach it to the TV when buying the same film on DVD is just as easy and they take up much less room. Media towers come in all different sizes, colors and materials so there are lots to choose from. One of the first things you should do prior to purchasing your media tower is to find out what media you wish to store on the tower. You may want a games tower or maybe a DVD or Cd tower or maybe you want a combination of all three. You may need to buy more than one of these multimedia storage towers to hold your media. These can be bought at the same time or you can buy them as and when you want them. Once you decide what media you want to store and how much there is of the media, you can then look to see what options are available to you.

One thing to make sure is if you are putting different media formats on the same tower is that all these different formats will fit on the tower you do not want to buy a tower and find that it will hold all your Cd’s but when you come to put your DVD’s on it they will not fit. The best media storage towers to buy are the one with the adjustable shelves, this means you can raise or lower the shelves to different heights for the different sizes of media. The only other way round this is to buy a different media storage tower for each media format.

Another thing to take into consideration prior to buying your multimedia storage tower is can you get the right one to match the rest of the rooms decor. You do not want to have a storage tower made from a light pine wood and put it in a room which consists of all dark furniture as it will not blend in with the rooms decor and will be more noticeable. The large range of different media storage towers means this should not happen. In fact for children’s bedrooms you could get a plain pine tower and decorate it in funky colors or patterns.

Most furniture shops will stock a range of multimedia storage towers and even big department stores and chain stores such as Wal-Mart have them. You can also buy them from on-line sellers and stores and if you want a cheap media storage tower you could even buy a used one; even if it’s not in the best of conditions you could always paint or decorate it. These items do not cost that much and make storing of all your multimedia so much tidier.
